
Christopher P Baker
Christopher P Baker earned degrees in geography at University College London and Latin American Studies at Liverpool University. Since 1980 he has lived in California and made his career as a freelance travel journalist and photographer. An authority on travel and tourism in Cuba his many books include Mi Moto Fidel: Motorcycling Through Castro's Cuba (a two-time national book award winner), plus Cuba Classics: A Celebration of Vintage American Automobiles, as well as Eyewitness Top 10 Cuba, Moon Cuba Handbook, and National Geographic Traveler Cuba. He has also written
Lonely Planet and Thomas Cook guidebooks to Jamaica. He has also written and photographed guidebooks to California, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, and various Caribbean destinations. He has contributed to more than 200 publications worldwide, including BBC World, CNN Travel, Conde Nast, National Geographic Traveler and Playboy and photographs on assignment for National Geographic and has led numerous photography tours. Christopher has appeared on BBC Radio, CNN, Fox TV, and dozens of other radio and TV outlets and has been privileged to address the National Geographic Society Live among other prestigious organisations.
